Recap of the month

It has been a tough month... I have won 47K dollars which is my record so far and I have won almost every day, but still it has been a tough month because it is always tough to be a professional poker player. Especially in Turkey. You have to be worrying about when 'they' are going to be closing all your poker accounts and you have to think about what you would do if the government confiscates all your money. Although it is very unlikely that these horrible circumstances would occur, we all know that if there is a possibility it is enough to make you worried. I am still playing on 5 10 NL tables and I am not planning on going up to 10 20NL yet. I know that it is not very easy to win 45K every month but I am confident in my abilities and I think I can make an average of 25K on 5 10 NL level. I think I am going to move up if I have 30 buy ins on both sites I am playing, meaning I will play 10 20 when I have a total bankroll of 120K which is about twice of what I have now.

For anybody that considers becoming a poker pro, I advise following the bankroll rules pretty tightly because anybody can easily lose 10 maybe even 20 buy-ins in a very short period of time. If this happens, you do not want to go broke, so you better have at least 40 buy-ins, even higher depending on your style. If you are a tag (tight aggressive), then 30 buy-ins should be enough because you would not have 10 buy in swings over days. But if you are playing a lag style you should strongly consider building a bankroll of 50-100 buy-ins for every level you are playing.
